Is a public health approach to reducing the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus anti-business?

Businesses that depend on close interactions between people (ex. bars, fitness facilities, restaurants) have been greatly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The danger of spreading the SARS-CoV-2 virus makes it difficult for these businesses and many others to safely operate like they once did.

Businesses and consumers will need to adapt to the present circumstances to allow for businesses to operate, but to do so safely. Each business will have to adapt their COVID-19 policies based on their business models, while following best practices. Businesses should seek guidance from The U.S. Department of Labor Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s published a document Guidance on Preparing Workplaces for COVID-19.
